Unit of Bioengineering and Microbiology - Junior Investigator with PhD or Engineering degree in microfluidics
The candidate will be working on the establishment and validation of new microfluidics tools for screening and deep mining intestinal microbiota using droplet microfluidics associated to genomics, transcriptomics and proteomic analysis. It is expected that the successful candidate will assume a leading role in chip design, fabrication and operation. He/She will work in close collaboration with other team members of the lab and other research groups regarding OMICs analysis. Depending on candidates, other projects related to bioengineering and organ on chips development could be discussed.
-Highly motivated, curious and creative applicant with a Ph.D or engineering degree in Bioengineering/microfluidics
-Solid and profound experience in Microfabrication/microfluidics is preferred rather than list of publications.
-Experience working in cell biology/microbiology lab would be a plus.
-Based on the interdisciplinary of the lab, open mind and ability to work as part of a team is mandatory
-Excellent English communication is expected. Team is international and it is expected that candidate will present results in meetings, international conferences and journal publication.
